    This is the opportunity to explore our faith through the Bible, other books and seasonal themes during Lent and Advent.   • Men's Breakfast and Bible Study -  Good Shepherd Hall

  • Thanksgiving Meal Bags Food Drive

    Sunday, October 5, 11am - 2pm

    A Food Drive will be held at Fort Salonga IGA.  Items collected will be used to prepare Thanksgiving Meal Bags for our food pantry helping families in need enjoy a special meal. Please join us and help make a difference! Completed meal bags and food donations are also accepted and can be dropped off during church office hours Monday – Friday 9:30am – 1pm or on Sunday before worship.  Check here for details, sign up, and list of needed items.

  • Blessing of the Animals

    Sunday, October 12, 1pm

    Attention all Pet Parents! Mark your calendar and join us for a joyful celebration of the Blessing of Animals at Abiding Presence Church.  Please have pets leashed or caged for the safety of everyone attending. In the event of rain, the blessing will be held in Good Shepherd Hall.

  • Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection

    Sunday, October 12

    Join us in sharing the love of Christ with children around the world. We will be collecting items for our shoebox packing event on November 9. Check here for a list of shoebox gift suggestions to donate for boys and girls as well as links for shopping. Items ordered online can be shipped directly to Abiding Presence Church for convenience. We will continue accepting donations through November 9 when our packing event will take place.

  • Pasta and the Word

    Saturday, October 18, 10am - 2pm

    Join us at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wyandanch, the third Saturday of every month, where we prepare and distribute hot and cold meals to those in need. Contact Lisa McCaffrey for volunteer opportunities and current donations needed. 


  • Bingo Italiano Night Fundraiser

    Saturday, October 18, 6 pm – 10 pm.

    Plans are underway for a Festive Italian Night Fundraiser -  An evening of delicious catered Italian food, exciting bingo games with prizes, raffle baskets and 50/50 raffle. The cost is $35pp and includes dinner, dessert and a Bingo card. Check here to sign up. Deadline for signing up is October 13. 

    We are asking for your help to make our Italian Night Fundraiser extra special. Please consider donating a pre-made raffle basket. Empty baskets are available in the narthex for anyone who would like to fill one or more for this event. Donations can be dropped off at church during office hours 9:30am – 1:00pm or on Sundays before worship. Your generosity helps make our fundraiser a success. Thank you!

  • Blessing of Costumes

    Sunday, October 26, 9:30am

    All children are welcome to wear their costumes and participate in this festive day together. Costumes should be church appropriate (no witches, devils, etc.). After worship children are invited to a Sunday School Halloween Party for fun, games, and treats. Please sign up at church to attend. 

    DONATIONS of individually wrapped snacks and treats are being collected. All items must be in their original packaging with the listing of ingredients. There is a collection bin at church for donations. Thank you!

  • Feast of All Saints/Taizé

    Friday, October 31, 7:30pm

    We will celebrate the Feast of All Saints with a combined Taizé service of prayer, song, and reflection. During this service, we prayerfully remember those who have been called to their eternal rest since All Saints Day 2024. All are warmly invited to join us as we honor their memory and rejoice in the promise of the resurrection.
