  • Pasta and the Word

    Saturday, July 18, 10am - 2pm

    Join us at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wyandanch, the third Saturday of every month, where we prepare and distribute hot and cold meals to those in need. Contact Lisa McCaffrey for volunteer opportunities and current donations needed lmccaffrey@hotmail.com.

    Rainforest Falls VBS 2026

    Save the date August 10 - 14

    Come experience a week of fun with Abiding Presence Lutheran Church during Rainforest Falls VBS "Where Faith Grows and Adventure Begins" August 10 - 14 from 9am -12noon. Each day will include Bible lessons, music, crafts, snacks, and games in a rainforest themed setting. Just $70 for a week of fun in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment! (Youth Crew Leaders/Assistants $25 to cover the cost of supplies.)

    Children Age 3 - Grade 5 are welcome to attend. Older children can sign up as Crew Leaders/Assistants. Check here to register online. We can't wait to share this exciting Rainforest adventure with you!

  • Women's Book Club

    We are reading The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd.

    Sarah Grimké the daughter of a wealthy slave-owning family dreams of becoming more than society allows women to be. On Sarah's eleventh birthday, Hetty 'Handful' Grimké an enslaved girl is given to Sarah as a gift. Sarah knows what she does next will unleash a world of trouble. And so, indeed, the trouble begins. 

      

     



  • 2026 Abiding Presence Lutheran Church Volunteer Service Award

    Although the Presidential Volunteer Service award is no longer available, Pastor Schoepflin has chosen to continue recognizing the dedication and commitment of our volunteers through the Abiding Presence Volunteer Service Award. This award honors individuals who share their time and talents in service to our church and community. Applicants can find the necessary submission forms here. The deadline date is Monday, August 31.
