Pasta and the Word - Saturday, June 21, 10am-2pm

VBS Summer Camp 2025 - August 18 – 22, 9am-12 noon
Children in grades N3 - 5 will experience an incredible week of faith and fun at our low cost VBS True North Camp!
Just $65 for a week of fun includes: T-Shirt, snacks, Bible based educational activities, free crafts, games, and the social benefits of camp.
Children in grade 6 and older can sign up as Crew Leaders and Assistant Crew Leaders. All are welcome and encouraged to invite friends and neighbors! Register now, don’t delay! All registered families will have a chance to win one of the many True North themed prizes available in our Registration Raffle! Children's Book Drive
The Northport Rotary Club is running its annual book drive this May to support basic education and literacy for children. Books will be given to Hindi’s Libraries, a Long Island not-for-profit organization that ships books for free to more than 350 organizations nationwide spanning across all 50 states and around the world. Recipients include homeless shelters, foster care agencies, low-income schools, legal aid societies and hospitals. Abiding Presence Church is collecting New and Gently Used books for infants through young adult (board books, picture books, chapter books, novels). We are not collecting coloring books, activity books, study material, cookbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, games, and prayer books. Gently used books should be free of tears, stains, marks, missing pages, and missing pieces. Friday, May 30 is the final day to donate. We will not accept books past this date.

Bingo Night - Saturday, May 31, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
This event is for adults 21 and over please. The cost is $15. A bingo card and coffee and dessert are included with admission. Youth Fellowship Meeting May 28 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Parents of 6 - 9th grade students are invited to attend a second Youth Fellowship meeting on May 28th. Meetings are held in Good Shepherd Hall from 6:30pm- 8:00pm. Volleyball fun and dinner will be provided by the Youth Committee. Parents, you can drop off or stay to discuss some exciting upcoming community service events and plans for our committee like the Car Wash scheduled for June 1st. The donations from the Car Wash will be used towards upcoming youth outings. During these meetings we will be assembling personal care kits to be dispersed to people in need. We are asking for donations of personal size: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, hairbrush, and wash cloths for this project. Community Service credit will be given to students that attend these meetings. Please bring your log and have a Youth Committee leader sign it at the meeting. Northport Pridefest
Pridefest begins Friday, May 30 at 12:30pm with the Flag Raising Ceremony at Northport Village Hall. Pridefest in the Park will take place on Saturday, June 14 from 12:30pm – 4:30pm at Northport Village Park. Event schedule and details can be found at northportpridefest.com.

Baccalaureate Sunday, June 15, 9:30am
During the liturgy of the Holy Eucharist, we will acknowledge all persons who are graduating this year from high school, college or graduate school. It has always been our custom to have the graduates wear their caps and gowns (if possible) and gather in the narthex for the procession. It is our personal request that, if you are graduating or have graduated this year, you be with us for this wonderful occasion. Please respond by completing and mailing the questionnaire here or by calling the church office 631-269-6454 before June 8th with your information. The information provided will be included in the bulletin on Baccalaureate Sunday, June 15th .
Sunday, June 15th is also Father’s Day. We will have a special Blessing of Fathers during the liturgy.

Kings Park Day, Saturday, June 14, 10:00am - 3:00pm
