  • Worship

    These teams embody our faith.

    Altar Guild - responsibilities include preparing the Altar every Sunday for worship, preparing for baptisms, weddings and funerals and caring for the linens and vessels. Contact Kathy Smith if you'd like to help. 

    Communion Bread Baking - there is a lesson given for this if you're a newcomer! If you would like to help bake, please contact Je-Anne Martinsen.

    Ushers - what a wonderful opportunity to greet all those who join us on Sunday! Handing out bulletins, bringing up the offerings and assisting with communion are just some of an Usher's responsibilities. Contact Jane Stark if you'd like to Usher.

    Readers - readings from the Holy Scripture are prepared in advance and emailed prior to Sunday worship (for those who like to practice beforehand)! There is also an opportunity to read the prayer offerings. Contact Betty Bose if you'd like to be a reader.

    Worship Assistants - you would be helping to distribute Holy Communion or serving as an acolyte. Contact Pastor Schoepflin if you'd like to assist.


  • Community Outreach

  • Youth Education

    This group helps our younger members learn about God's incredible love for them and how it can guide them throughout life.

    From Sunday School through Confirmation, these are the educational programs that allow children to individually receive information and transform it to build their own personal relationship with God while building the foundation of their faith. Visit our Youth page to learn more.


  • Music

    If you play an instrument, are blessed with the gift of voice, or would like to be a bell ringer, this is your place to shine.

  • Christian Growth and Development

    This group explores opportunities for spiritual growth.

  • Diversity and Inclusion

    This team is currently working on accreditation through the Lutheran organization, Reconciling Works which supervises the Reconciling in Christ Program. This program affirms our belief and tradition that all are welcome here at Abiding Presence.

    The Marketing and Outreach committee brainstorms and creates materials that communicate our mission with the world. Join this committee if you'd like to be part of the church's creative vision. Here you can run livestream cameras, photograph events and create promotional materials.
