  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study

    This is the opportunity to explore our faith through the Bible, other books and seasonal themes during Lent and Advent. Meaningful discussion and laughter are common during this hour as we all share our beliefs and personal experiences.  We are currently reading The Book of Numbers. Check here for meeting updates.   • Men's Breakfast and Bible Study -  Good Shepherd Hall

  • Children's Book Drive

    The Northport Rotary Club is running its annual book drive this May to support basic education and literacy for children. We are collecting new and gently used books for infants through young adult (board books, picture books, chapter books, novels). Gently used books should be free of tears, stains, marks, missing pages, and missing pieces. A collection bin will be in the narthex for donations. Thank you for supporting this wonderful cause to support children!

  • Pasta and the Word

    Saturday, May 16, 10am - 2pm

    Join us at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wyandanch, the third Saturday of every month, where we prepare and distribute hot and cold meals to those in need. Contact Lisa McCaffrey for volunteer opportunities and current donations needed lmccaffrey@hotmail.com.

    We will discuss American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins a #1 New York Times bestseller about a Mexican bookstore owner, Lydia, and her son, Luca, who flee Acapulco after a drug cartel murders her family to the U.S. border. The novel, praised for its suspense and emotional depth, became a massive commercial success but also sparked controversy over its portrayal of the migrant experience by an author of Irish and Puerto Rican descent.

  • Baccalaureate Liturgy

    Sunday, June 21, 9:30am

    Family, friends, and members of the community are all welcome to attend a special Baccalaureate Liturgy on Sunday, June 21 at 9:30am as we come together to honor and celebrate our 2026 graduates. It has always been our custom to have the graduates wear their caps and gowns (if possible) and gather in the narthex for the procession. Check here to RSVP and participate.   • Rainforest Falls VBS 2026

    Save the date August 10 - 14

    Come experience a week of fun with Abiding Presence Lutheran Church during Rainforest Falls VBS "Where Faith Grows and Adventure Begins" August 10 - 14 from 9am -12noon. Each day will include Bible lessons, music, crafts, snacks, and games in a rainforest themed setting. Just $70 for a week of fun in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment! (Youth Crew Leaders/Assistants $25 to cover the cost of supplies.)

    Children Age 3 - Grade 5 are welcome to attend. Older children can sign up as Crew Leaders/Assistants. Check here to register online. We can't wait to share this exciting Rainforest adventure with you!
